Latest NewsPlease join us at our Daylily Show on Saturday, July 2, 1-4pm at Sullivan Garden & Hardware Center, 6955 N Keystone, Indianapolis. It is free and open to the public. Members will display their most prized daylilies which will be judged by ADS accredited judges. Come visit with us and view beautiful daylilies that are grown locally, ask questions, learn about growing daylilies, and find out when and where to purchase daylilies locally when the society holds its annual iris/daylily sale. You're invited to join us at our next regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, August 2, 6:30pm when Sandy Holmes from Riverbend Daylily Garden, Xenia, OH presents "What's Happening at Riverbend Gardens". Sandy, along with her husband, Mike, began Riverbend Garden in 1996 when they became backyard hybridizers. Over time they expanded their garden and now raise 40,000 to 50,000 seedlings at any one time. They grow and hybridize tetraploid daylilies, striving to introduce plants with excellent plant habit and distinctive looks. Sandy's interests lie in large unusual form daylilies while Mike prefers the rounder daylilies with fancy edges. Sandy's introduction "I Lava You" won the Stout Medal in 2020, the highest award given annually by the American Daylily Society. Join us to hear of their latest hybridizing work.
